LAST WEEKENDS SHOP ACTIVITY
Last weekend was the last for this year’s Santa Train. Things went well for the most part and all the folks I talked to were quite happy with the experience. We did get a few extra trains in by accident, but volunteers were found to fill in for the extra trips. Thanks to all who assisted with running the trains.
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
Work has now begun on the annual 765 inspection. Currently we will be working on finishing up the clean up of the engine and get started on projects such as drilling out staybolt tell-tales. I plan to get the fire door off this week and inspect it for issues that caused it to come loose this summer. Several folks are already working on the rail washer and the blower control rod. The next two weeks will likely be lightly attended and the shop likely will be closed Christmas and New Year’s Days.
