LAST WEEKEND’S SHOP ACTIVITY

Coal was delivered this week to the shop.  Over the next two weeks, it will be loaded into our gondola and the 765.  The final hydrostatic test was completed and passed.

Other work being accomplished includes making the snowplow ready to ship, the gondola is being readied to go with us with coal to load into 765 as needed.  There is also work being done on the 451 to get it in condition to accompany us on trips at some point in the future.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

We need to plug staybolt tell tales, install arch brick, load coal, fill tender and engine with water, and wash the boiler over the next two weekends.  All available hands will find a job over the next few weeks.

In addition to 765 work the Emery open-air car needs lots of help (Andrew Hershman is the contact) as does the diner (Bill Otter is coordinating the work on that project).
