358 Update – 6/28/2020

Past two weekends work has continued on #358, primarily work on pulling some additional low voltage circuits for the class lights, step lights, and ditch lights.  introduced a new member to the team in Phil Lopez, Phil’s first day was Saturday 6/27 at the shop and jumped right in with both feet.  He has 8+ years of restoration experience at the Monticello Railway Museum – http://www.mrym.org/  – so he’s familiar with the ‘biz’.

Phil and I got the circuits routed into the electrical cabinet and staged for Rod’s return to land them on the switches and terminals they need to go.

Samantha worked on scraping out and sweeping up all the loose rust and paint chips from inside the long hood car body.  A dirty, tedious job, but she took it head-on and did a great job.   We’ll do some final prep to the nooks and crannies and likely shoot it with a coat of grey paint once we have the unit up and running, and before final paint on the outside.

Plenty of little tasks to do, so if anyone is looking for something to do, give me a call or shoot me an email and we’ll get you set up.
Thank you.
