“The Santa Train has become an important local tradition for us and our thousands of guests. Next to excursions with our steam locomotive, the Santa Train is our most popular event,” said Kelly Lynch, Vice President of the Society. In 2016, the Santa Trains hosted over 5,000 riders.
The Santa Train is a long-standing tradition in Northeast Indiana that started over 60 years ago and was reinstated by the railroad historical society in the mid-1990s.
All ticket revenue from the Santa Train supports non-profit historic railroad preservation efforts in Northeast Indiana.
