Track 765

Welcome to our GPS Map and Locomotive Locator. Question about routing, schedules, times or the GPS? Read up on our Twitter feed below. Please help support railroad preservation by tracking safely and responsibly. We’ve also developed a dedicated smartphone app for iPhone and Android.

NOTICE 9/5/13: SOME BROWSERS MAY NEED TO BE REFRESHED AFTER 60 SECONDS.

SMARTPHONE APP

We’ve developed a dedicated smartphone app for iPhone and Android. These apps feature a custom GPS map with routing, terminals, and station stops and includes an embedded Twitter feed, news, events, schedules and more. Our GPS system pushes information to the app every 60 seconds and has been updated with increased performance and reliability. Proceeds from the sale of the app fund the continued operation and maintenance of Nickel Plate Road no. 765.

WHERE IS THE 765 RIGHT NOW?

Our GPS locator and smartphone app deliver minute-by-minute location information when available. The feeds below are updated by our crew during all of our operations when possible. We cannot estimate arrivals/departures or schedules through towns that are not previously published. Please consult the map and the routes available.

WHAT ROUTE ARE YOU TAKING? WHAT TIME WILL IT BE IN MY TOWN?

By zooming out of the map, you can see the planned route of the train. As always, this is subject to change. Non-revenue trips (deadheads or ferry moves) do not take place on a schedule and we cannot provide estimates or educated guesses as to arrival times in any particular city or state. On any given day, we’re operating on railroad time. Your best bet is to follow up on Twitter for our recent updates – no account is required. If the train or tracking icon has stopped, take a look at our Twitter feed for the most up to date information. [/box]
